Every Crown has a unique 32-digit identification number. The device ID is used everywhere, so learning how to find it will be helpful.
There are three ways to find your device ID,
1. Settings page on the Neurosity App
2. Scan the NFC sticker on the back of the Crown
3. Scan the QR code on the back of your box.
Settings Page in Neurosity App
Tap the settings page from the bottom toolbar of the mobile app.
Then scroll down and select "Device Info."
On the next page you'll see the Device ID, you can press and hold to copy it.
Scan NFC
Scanning the NFC tag is a great way to get the Crown's ID without having to claim the Crown, which would be needed to see the Crown's settings page in your hand via the Neurosity App.
To get the Crown information via NFC, use a mobile phone.
- Ensure your phone supports NFC. Here's a list of NFC-enabled devices https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFC-enabled_mobile_devices
- Download an NFC scanning app, such as NFC Tools from wakdev: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nfc-tools/id1252962749
The NFC scanning area of the Crown is located on the back, over the Neurosity logo.
Open the NFC Tools app and select 'Read.'
For the iPhone, dip your phone on the top towards the Crown once prompted to scan the NFC.
Once scanned, you'll see a success message.
Next, scroll down to the last entry, "Record 1 - Text." If you do not see the "Record 1 - Text" field, please rescan the NFC; there was a misread on the first attempt.
Once in the Record, you can press and hold the Device ID to copy it to your clipboard.
Scan QR Code on Box
You may scan the QR code on the back of your Crown device packaging.
