What are snapshots?
Snapshots are small pieces of metadata that represent Focus or Calm scores. For example, there are 2,000 raw brainwave data points generated every second. For every second of brain activity, one snapshot is created. A snapshot contains the score of the metric (a number from 0.0 to 1.0) and the timestamp of when the snapshot was created. You must subscribe to Calm or Focus via the Developer Console, VS Code extension or the JavaScript API.
How are snapshots saved?
Notion's encrypted cloud services have the ability to store metadata. When a real-time metric goes through our cloud services, we check to see if the user has enabled Activity Logging. If enabled, the metadata will be stored. Brainwaves will not be stored.
How to remove stored data?
We understand that although raw brainwave data is not being saved, you may one way want to clear your entire digital footprint. If you wish to delete your stored metadata, please email support@neurosity.co and we'll promptly purge your metadata from the cloud.
