Claim a Device with the Console

Claiming a Crown ensures no other person can access your sensitive brainwave data. A Crown can be claimed via the Developer Console or via the Neurosity App; Learn How To Claim a Crown with the Neurosity App. 

The first step in adding a device via the Developer Console is to select the profile icon on the top left of the page.

Select "Add Device" to be brought to the device selection screen. 

Claiming with Bluetooth

The best way to claim a Crown or Notion is using the Developer Console via Bluetooth in the Google Chrome web browser.

Select "Scan for devices" to begin a search. Ensure that your device is powered on and within a few meters of your computer for the computer to find the Crown. 

Once you see your device listed, you may select it and press "Pair" to claim the device! You will be brought back to the main screen. If you have troubles or are on a mobile phone and cannot use the Neurosity App to claim via Bluetooth, you can use your Smartphone's camera or enter the device ID manually.

Claiming with a QR code

Your Crown comes with a QR code on the bottom of the box it arrived in that you may scan to claim.

Smartphone

Allow access to your phone's camera

Then scan your QR code.

The Developer Console will automatically snap a picture once the QR code is in focus and once your device has been claimed, you will be taken to the main dashboard.

Webcam

Allow access if you do have a webcam.

Next, you'll want to hold your Crown's QR code in front of the webcam. Once your device has been claimed, you will be taken to the main dashboard.

Manually

If your webcam or smartphone is not an option, or you already have your Device ID. You may enter the unique device ID manually.

Then paste or enter your unique device ID and press Claim Device.

Alternatively, you may

1. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera
2. Copy the 32 digits
3. Paste it into the area under Enter Device ID
4. Press Claim Device.

Once your device has been claimed, you will be taken to the main dashboard.
